RPA Engineering Positions Berks County as Premier Technical Hub

RPA Engineering recently added the following new employees:

Richard J. Waters, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Edgewater, MD has joined RPA Engineering, as a Senior Civil Engineer in the Wyomissing, PA office. As the Department Manager, Waters will be planning and directing all civil engineering activities within the organization with a focus on business development. Mr. Waters comes to RPA with more than seven years of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure civil engineering experience. Waters has experience as project engineer, lead project engineer and project manager. Mr. Waters’ civil engineering design and management experience includes the following sectors: grading, water, sewer, storm drain, storm water management and sediment and erosion control as well as development of site layouts.

Waters graduated with Distinction from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering. Richard is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) where he has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.

The Waters family will be relocating to Wyomissing, PA.

Taylor Warriner, from New Jersey, comes to RPA’s staff as a designer in the Advanced Environments Group. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, Taylor will work with clients, vendors, contractors, and managers to design facility building systems. She has spent the past two summers working for RPA Engineering as an intern honing her design skills.

Warriner graduated from Keene State College, in New Hampshire, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Innovative Product and Building Design.

Kevin Magee, formerly of Levittown, PA, relocated to Sinking Spring to accept a position in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Magee recently graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received the Louis A. Harding Scholarship from 2012-2014.

Local talent, William Hood, accepted a position with RPA Engineering as a Junior Controls Engineer. Hood graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He will join an elite team of controls specialists at RPA. As client demand for controls engineering grows, Will’s development and expertise will be extremely valuable to our client partners.

These key additions to our staff, in conjunction with our National Internship Program featuring top students supporting RPA at the undergraduate level, assures a continuous flow of intellectual capital. The young men and women come from some of the leading technical schools in the country including Carnegie Mellon, Lehigh University, The University of Pennsylvania, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Tech, Alabama University and The University of Pittsburgh, to name a few. “We are proud to partner with such acclaimed schools and bright young minds, but we look for more than just excellent grades. Our program connects these young men and women to real project situations with fortune 100 companies.
