Major Pediatric Hospital – Philadelphia, PA
Project Summary:
The pediatric hospital located in Philadelphia, PA provides world-renowned medical and surgical care to children from around the globe. It has also been a pioneer in pediatric medicine, responsible for many clinical innovations. The hospital completed renovations to one of its inpatient units in its main facility. The project included a nurse station, playroom, staff lounge, office spaces, equipment room and upgrades to nine inpatient rooms. All work was completed while the inpatient unit remained open, allowing the hospital to continue to meet patient needs.

Project Highlights:
RPA Engineering provided design, engineering and construction administration services for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing portions of the project. The existing mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, fire alarm, and nurse call systems were reviewed. New designs were developed to support the hospital´srequirements and all equipment needs were specified. In addition, an assessment of the existing infrastructure was completed to ensure that adequate capacity would remain for future projects.
