Voltaix – New Manufacturing Facility
Project Summary
Voltaix, LLC, Voltaix, a manufacturer of custom designed specialty chemicals for use in the most demanding semiconductor deposition applications, is expanding operations from their Branchburg, NJ headquarters to a state-of-the-art, green-field manufacturing facility located in Northampton County, PA. The new purpose-built facility positions Voltaix to execute on technical and strategic initiatives in several high growth markets, and to provide customers with higher capacity and improved redundancy. The site Master Plan provides infrastructure for up to 77,600 SF of facility buildout with Phase 1 totaling approximately 36,000 SF. The initial phase included a Common Support Building, Manufacturing Building, Gas Cylinder Storage Pads, a pad for emergency and process scrubbers , and a Shipping / Receiving / Maintenance Building. The Common Support Building featured conference rooms, training rooms, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, offices, an IT room, and a plant controls room. The Manufacturing Building features interior UHP final product packaging manifolds combined with exterior process modules, R&D areas for large scale development work, as well as analytical areas.

Project Highlights
RPA Engineering performed MEP, Structural design, and engineering and construction administration services for the project. The project is currently in the construction phase and tracking on schedule for Phase 1 target milestone of achieving a Certificate of Occupancy by October 17, 2011.
